The annual meetings of the voting precincts in Gates County are currently in the process of being scheduled.

According to Anthony Saunders, chair of the Gates County Democratic Party, the precinct meetings are required to take place between February 25 and March 11.

“Each of Gates County’s five precincts must hold a meeting during this time in order to be organized and have a voice at the county, district, and state levels,” Saunders said.

He added that precinct meeting packets have been sent to the chair of each precinct. That list includes:

Precinct 1 – Gatesville (chair pending)

Precinct 2 – Eure (Rodney Allen Pope)

Precinct 3 – Gates (Marsha F. Langston)

Precinct 4 – Sunbury (Rev. Joseph Perry)

Precinct 5 – Hobbsville (Ernest Jordan)
