AHOSKIE – Ahoskie Post 102 is once again sponsoring both Junior and Senior American Legion baseball teams as 36 young men have signed up to play.

“We have young men from almost every school in the Roanoke-Chowan area plus a few from other schools in the region,” said David Ellis, General Manager of Post 102 Baseball. “Please come out and support these young men. It’s great to see so many participating in baseball.”

Home games at played at the Hertford County High School baseball field.

Coaches for the Senior team are Benji Baggett, Clifton Whitby, Jimi Brooks, and Antonio White.

The Post 102 Junior team will be coached by Cody Higginbotham and TJ Cunnane.

The season begins on Monday, May 19 when the Junior team travels to Chocowinity to meet Beaufort County at 7 p.m.

Local baseball fans will get the opportunity to see both teams in action at the same time when the Juniors and Seniors square off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21.
