Starting Monday 4/14/25 we will be celebrating Autism Awareness Spirit Week. Monday will be “Sensory Friendly Day” so dress up in school-appropriate comfy clothes or you can wear sunglasses!
On Tuesday we have “Superhero day” – come dressed up as a Superhero.
For Wednesday, support “Neurodiversity day” by wearing a rainbow or tie-dye.
And finally, the last day of the week before Spring break, Thursday, “Light It Up Blue Day” everyone wears blue to show support for Autism Awareness.

Eggs!
Last week, Mrs. Kittrell’s 2nd and 4th-hour chicks hatched!! The genetics students completed an activity to ‘breed’ chickens that would produce a chick that would lay an egg with a specific eggshell color. The hatch rate was 90%. Mrs. Kittrell took the chicks home.

Prom Outro!
This is it! The last article for Prom 2025! Around two weeks ago, on April 17, GCHS held its annual prom!
The theme was Midnight Mirage. Attendance was high, and spirits were even higher as students got to interact and dance the night away with their friends/dates.
We also had the prom queen and king announcements! On our junior prom court, we had Caleb Branch, Deshaun Sherman, Omarion Dilday, Jamiah Hinton, Semiyah Saunders, and Mariyah Boone. On our senior prom court, we had Justin Powell (Prom King!), Mark Sulca, Logan Kronbauer, Anais Leconte (Prom Queen!), Amelia Elliot, and Tabea Steiger! We would like to congratulate everyone that was on Prom Court and our Prom King and Queen!
Thank you to the GCHS Prom Committee and those involved in volunteering to help decorate for putting on this amazing night!

GCHS Decision Day!
May 1st was Decision Day, where our GCHS Class of 2025 students announced their future! Some students chose a four year university, some chose trade school, some chose to enlist into the military! Overall, we are very proud of all of our seniors and wish them the best on the rest of their journey through life.
