AHOSKIE – Nucor-Hertford County is partnering with North Carolina Cooperative Extension, NC State University and North Carolina A&T State University to host an Earth Day event on Saturday, May 3.

The event will be held at the Ahoskie Creek Amphitheater (125 Edgewood Drive) from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.

Bring your scrap metal, paint, solvent, pesticides, electronics, batteries, florescent bulbs, used oil, white goods, farm implements, auto parts and other hazardous household materials out to be disposed of properly and help save the environment.

Agricultural pesticides will also be accepted. If you have a large quantity please call in advance to ensure there will be enough space for them.
