GREENSBORO – Gates County High School’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) organization traveled to Greensboro last week to compete at the State Leadership Conference.
Led by HOSA advisor Carney Rountree and chaperones Ann Harrell, Whitney Hobbs, and Margaret Rountree, 28 students represented GCHS in various competitive events and educational opportunities.
Over the course of the conference, students competed in a range of healthcare related events, including Home Health Aide, Physical Therapy, Clinical Nursing, Pharmacology and many more. Most of the students advanced to the second round of their competitions, demonstrating their dedication and skill in the healthcare field.
Beyond competing, students attended educational seminars and symposiums, gaining valuable knowledge and insight into the medical profession. Their experiences at the conference reinforced their passion for healthcare and the impact they hope to make in their future careers.
