Lois Ann was born in Gatesville on August 26, 1937 and was the eldest daughter of Lewis and Clarissa Perkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Benton; and her brothers, Lewis, Jr. and Charlie Perkins.
